IVF can be a confusing process, speak to Assured Fertility

Fertility testing is a process that helps to evaluate fertility in both men and women. Carried out prior to treatment or when you are struggling to conceive, the tests provide a valuable insight into any issues that may be affecting your chances of conceiving. After your tests, a fertility consultant will sit with you and explain the results, answer any questions you may have and guide you on your next steps to achieving success.

For women the tests are often, but not limited to:

An AMH Blood Test, or Anti-Mullerian Hormone test – to estimate how many remaining eggs you have.

A Pelvic Ultrasound Scan – to provide an accurate overview of your womb and ovaries, to identify any concerns that may affect conception or embryo implantation.

And for men, a Semen Analysis – to help detect the motility, count and morphology of their sperm.

BMI measurement

The clinic will also measure your height and weight in order to calculate your BMI, this will help to see if any lifestyle choices may be affecting fertility.

Patients can choose to pay for these tests at the start of their journey to conceiving or just before they commit to an IVF plan. They are an imperative part of the process to help people have a better understanding of their fertility health, and subsequently can then make an informed decision on what to do next based on the experts advise.
